Quality Standards

We reserve the right to:

• Reject content that doesn't meet our quality standards
• Request revisions to ensure publishing quality
• Refuse service for content that violates our policies

Author Rights

You retain all intellectual property rights to your original content. By using our services, you grant Profound Publishers:

• A non-exclusive license to publish and distribute your work
• The right to use your book cover and metadata for marketing
• Permission to convert your content into various formats

Platform Rights

Spines retains all rights to:

• Our platform technology, design, and branding
• Any tools, templates, or resources we provide
• Aggregate data and analytics from platform usage

Important: You maintain 100% copyright ownership of your book. We only require the necessary rights to provide our publishing services.

Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:

• Infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
• Promotes violence, illegal activities, or terrorism
• Includes sexually explicit material without proper categorization
• Contains false or defamatory information
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

Content Review

We reserve the right to:

• Review all content before publication
• Reject or remove content that violates our guidelines
• Suspend accounts for repeated violations
• Cooperate with legal authorities when required

Service Fees

Our publishing services are offered through various packages with clearly stated fees. You agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees for services rendered
• Provide accurate billing information
• Authorize us to charge your chosen payment method
• Pay any additional costs for extra services requested

Royalty Payments

Royalty structure:

• 70% royalty on direct sales through Spines platform
• Standard retailer royalties for third-party sales (25-45%)
• Monthly royalty payments via direct deposit or PayPal
• Detailed sales reports available in your dashboard

Note: Royalty rates are subject to change based on retailer policies and market conditions. Current rates are always displayed in your account dashboard.

Service Cancellation

You may cancel services:

• Within 7 days of purchase for a full refund
• After work has begun, refunds are prorated based on completed work
• Once publishing has started, cancellation may not be possible

Refund Processing

Refund terms:

• Refunds processed within 10 business days
• Original payment method will be credited
• Digital products may not be eligible for refund after download
